SelfEspress will continue to use the fully-automated printing capabilities of the Espresso Book Machine, the final product being a 4/4, library quality paperback printed from a PDF off of any machine connected to the network. Using laser printing, a book printed on an EBM costs as little as 1p per page (On Demand Books, 2008) and now with the extra features added by SelfEspress such as “automated template-based interior layout, cover design tools” and “easy access to distribution channels” (On Demand Books, 2014a), self-publishing has never been more appealing.
Let’s just hope that On Demand Books and the Espresso Book Machine can begin to live up to the reputation it garnered in it’s first few years of existence.
